Terms of Service
Last updated: October 16, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Aetherium websites, applications, Aetherium Drive, Aetherium Mail, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, starting a trial, or purchasing a paid feature, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the affected Service.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally permitted to use the Service in your jurisdiction and provide accurate information when creating or maintaining an account. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials, securing access to your devices, and activities performed through your account, except where applicable law provides otherwise. You must notify us through the published support channels if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Aetherium does not support, endorse, promote, or encourage illegal activities or unlawful content. Users may attempt to create, upload, store, transmit, or access such content through the Service. The existence or accessibility of user-generated content does not mean that Aetherium approves of, endorses, or condones that content or the activities associated with it.
Aetherium does not necessarily monitor, review, or inspect all user content or communications. Depending on the Service, technical limitations, security controls, and applicable law, some content may not be routinely reviewed. This does not authorize unlawful use of the Service or exempt users from applicable laws or these Terms.
You may not use the Service to facilitate criminal activity, distribute unlawful material, infringe the rights of others, exploit or harm other people, or evade applicable legal restrictions. We may investigate credible reports of abuse, restrict access to content, suspend or terminate accounts, or take other appropriate action in response to violations of these Terms or applicable law. Where legally required, we may cooperate with competent authorities.
2. Aetherium Drive (cloud storage)
Aetherium Drive provides account-based cloud storage subject to the storage quota, features, and limitations displayed for your plan. Unless a specific offer expressly states otherwise, cloud storage requires an active paid subscription. Accounts without an applicable active subscription may not have an available storage quota or continued access to storage features.
Service availability, upload and download speeds, storage capacity, and data retention may depend on our infrastructure and service providers. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or permanent retention of files. You should maintain independent backups of important data.
You may not use Drive to store or distribute unlawful content, malware, stolen data, material you do not have the right to store, or content that creates unreasonable security, privacy, or abuse risks. You must not use Drive to attack other systems, bypass security controls, or interfere with the Service.
Before deleting your account, cancelling a subscription, or allowing a subscription to expire, you should download and independently back up any data you wish to retain. Continued access to stored files after cancellation or account deletion is not guaranteed.
3. Aetherium Mail
Aetherium Mail may provide Aetherium-hosted email addresses, message delivery, and device-synchronized mail functionality. Data storage and synchronization behavior depend on the features enabled and the implementation of the relevant Service.
Where supported, mailbox data is designed to be stored locally on supported devices. Temporary cloud copies may be retained to facilitate delivery or synchronization while an authorized device is offline. Such copies may be removed after the applicable devices acknowledge receipt, depending on the synchronization implementation. Temporary cloud delivery must not be treated as an independent backup.
You may not use Mail for spam, phishing, malware distribution, credential theft, unlawful content distribution, impersonation, or automated abuse. Sending limits, verification requirements, and other anti-abuse controls may apply to accounts and email addresses.
You are responsible for ensuring that messages you send comply with applicable law and respect the rights and privacy of recipients. We may limit sending capabilities or suspend accounts when reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, or the Service.
4. Plans, trials, and billing
Aetherium Drive storage requires a paid plan unless an explicit offer states otherwise. Subscription prices, billing intervals, storage quotas, and included features are shown during checkout or in the applicable plan description.
Depending on the plan offered, billing may be hourly, monthly, or annually. Eligible monthly and annual plans may include a seven-day free trial. Hourly plans are billed from the start unless the checkout page explicitly states otherwise. The checkout process should identify the applicable trial period, renewal date, price, taxes, currency, and total amount due.
Unless cancelled before the trial ends, a trial may convert to a paid subscription according to the terms disclosed during checkout. You authorize the applicable payment provider to charge the payment method you select for amounts properly due under your subscription.
A change to publicly advertised prices does not automatically change the price of an existing subscription unless the change is permitted by the applicable subscription terms and law, with any required notice or consent.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel a subscription through the available billing management tools or by contacting the support channel published by Aetherium. Unless the checkout terms or applicable law state otherwise, cancellation stops future renewals while paid access continues through the end of the current billing period.
Cancellation does not necessarily delete your account or immediately remove stored data. However, storage capacity, file access, and other subscription-dependent features may change when the subscription ends. Back up important files before cancelling.
Any statutory cancellation, withdrawal, or other consumer rights remain unaffected by this section.
6. Refunds
Refund requests are handled in accordance with the Aetherium Drive Refund Policy and applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts mandatory consumer rights, including any refund or withdrawal rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
7. Payments and payment providers
Payments may be processed by Paddle or another payment provider identified during checkout. The relevant provider may process payment information under its own applicable terms and privacy practices.
Available payment methods, taxes, currencies, localized prices, and payment eligibility may vary depending on your location and the provider's requirements. Aetherium does not request that you send passwords, authentication codes, or full payment card details through ordinary email or public support channels.
8. Service changes and availability
We may update, maintain, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service for security, maintenance, infrastructure changes, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or other legitimate operational reasons. Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate notice or remedies.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or lossless data retention. You are responsible for keeping independent copies of important files and information. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Intellectual property and user content
You retain the rights you hold in content you upload, store, or send through the Service. You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to use that content with the Service.
You grant Aetherium and the service providers acting on its behalf the limited permissions necessary to host, store, transmit, synchronize, process, secure, and deliver your content solely as needed to operate, protect, and provide the requested Service, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to Aetherium. Aetherium branding, software, designs, and service materials remain the property of their respective owners and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
10. Security and prohibited conduct
You must not misuse, disrupt, or compromise the Service or its users. Prohibited conduct includes:
- Unauthorized access to accounts, systems, networks, or data.
- Probing, attacking, or bypassing security controls without authorization.
- Abusing APIs, evading rate limits, or circumventing access restrictions.
- Distributing malware, conducting phishing, stealing credentials, or sending abusive email traffic.
- Impersonating another person, account, organization, or device.
- Interfering with the availability, integrity, or security of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Using the Service to violate applicable law or the rights of other people.
We may apply reasonable technical safeguards, investigate suspected abuse, and restrict access where necessary to protect the Service and its users.
11. Data and privacy
Our collection and handling of personal data are described in the Privacy Policy. Depending on the features you use, data may be processed by infrastructure, hosting, storage, email delivery, analytics, or payment providers that support the Service.
Data processing, retention, access, and deletion depend on the relevant Service, technical requirements, and applicable law. Do not assume that deleting a local copy immediately deletes every backup, temporary copy, or copy retained by a provider where retention is legally or technically necessary. The Privacy Policy should explain the applicable practices.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not promise that every feature will always be available, compatible with every device, or free from interruptions.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Aetherium will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
13. AetheriumOS and device software
Where offered, AetheriumOS is an independent, GrapheneOS-based operating system intended for supported Google Pixel devices. It is provided subject to the applicable software license terms and, to the extent permitted by law, without additional warranties unless expressly stated otherwise.
Installing an operating system may require unlocking a device's bootloader, which can erase data, affect device security features, and potentially affect warranty coverage. Before installation, verify device compatibility, follow the official installation instructions, and make a complete backup of important data.
You are responsible for understanding the risks of modifying your device. Google Pixel is a trademark of Google LLC. Aetherium is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC or the GrapheneOS project unless an explicit statement says otherwise.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, security requirements, business operations, or applicable law. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised update date. Where required by law, we will provide notice or obtain consent before material changes take effect.
Continued use of the Service after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree to a material change, you should stop using the affected Service and cancel any applicable subscription in accordance with these Terms.
15. Contact
For support, billing, refund, privacy, or legal requests, use the current contact method published by the Aetherium project.
Never send passwords, authentication codes, recovery codes, or full payment card details through ordinary email or public support channels.
